The research aimed to screen the genetic diversity among 10 black genotypes using biometrical tools, such as, genotypic and phenotypic correlation, path coefficient analysis, heritability gain. highest variability resulted from pods per plant, plant height, primary branches, seeds pod. study recorded very low estimated for all studied traits. correlation indicated that seed yield showed positive significant with pod length, indicating further use of these characteristics can improve yield. Path analysis revealed direct effect on days 50% flowering, branch These traits proved relevant selection criteria future breeding programs. investigation results be helpful in selecting gram's suitable appropriate cultivation rainfed conditions Poonch Rawalakot, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Pakistan.
